Mrs. Diane Niksa

Mrs. April Macchione

  • Teaches: Kindergarten
  • Began teaching at St. Mary’s in 2001
  • Bachelor of Arts with certification in Pre-K-Grade 3 from Lake Erie College
  • My hobbies include reading (especially magazines and cookbooks), traveling (I love the beach and small towns), spending time with my 2 children and family and watching my favorite sports teams.
  • I like St. Mary’s because we are not just a community but a tight knit family that comes together for one purpose, educating our children in an environment filled with God’s love.
Miss Julie Watt

  • Teaches: Kindergarten
  • Began teaching at St. Mary’s in 2008.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from John Carroll University
  • My hobbies include cooking, baking, jogging and yoga.
  • I like St. Mary’s because I went to school here from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I feel blessed to be part of a school community that has shaped the person I am today.  We have the best faculty, staff, students and families around.
Ms. Margaret M. Knez

  • Teaches Grade: 1
  • Began teaching at St. Mary’s in 2000
  • Bachelor of Science in Education and minor in Language Arts from Kent State University. Currently working on obtaining a Masters degree at Lake Erie College.
  • My hobbies include working out, running, walking and spending fabulous family time with my lovely girls.
  • I like St. Mary’s because I am surrounded by an amazing staff, students and parents. Love them all!
Mrs. Heather Schumaker

  • Began teaching at St. Mary’s in 2005
  • Bachelor of Arts from Lake Erie College and Masters from Ashland University
  • My hobbies include running, walking in the park, reading and watching my kids play sports.

  • Began teaching at St. Mary’s in 2007
  • Bachelor of Science in Education from Cleveland State University
  • My hobbies include cooking, reading and spending time with my family.
  • I like St. Mary’s because I have the opportunity to teach terrific students and work with a wonderful faculty/staff.
Mrs. Mariann Siegel

  • Teaches Grade: 2
  • Began teaching at St. Mary’s in 2001
  • Bachelor of Art from Alma College. I have also taken course work at Eastern Michigan, Sienna Heights and Lake Erie College.
  • I have great kids and we spend much time together. We enjoy going on vacation and visiting lighthouses.
  • I feel blessed to be working at a school with such supportive fellow teachers and parents.

  • Bachelors Degree from Baldwin-Wallace University
  • My hobbies include running, playing any kind of sport, traveling and reading.
  • I like St. Mary’s because I grew up in a catholic community similar to St. Mary’s. I love how close our community is. I love teaching at this school because I feel like I’m part of a family.
