Sacrament of Baptism

Baptism is the first of the three sacraments of initiation into the Christian community in which the priest or deacon immerses or pours water over the recipient conferring sanctifying grace over sin. Baptisms are celebrated on the first and third Sunday of each month at or following noon Mass.

Pre-Baptismal classes are offered for parents to help them gain an understanding of the sacrament of Baptism. During each class, current parents share how they bring faith into their family life. Their focus is to provide practical tips, advice and know-how on the day-to-day realities of raising children as Catholic Christians. Pre-Baptismal classes are held on the last Sunday of March, May, July, October and December after 10:00 am Mass. Please contact the Parish Office (440-255-3404) if you are interested in scheduling a baptism or registering for the pre-baptismal class.
