Sacraments of First Eucharist & First Reconciliation

Holy Communion is the third sacrament of initiation. We believe that Jesus is present in the Blessed Sacrament and when we eat this bread and drink this cup, we are eating the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. The sacrament of Reconciliation celebrates the forgiveness of our sins and reconciles us with God and the Church.

First Reconciliation will take place on Saturday, December 9th.

First Communion will take place on Saturday, May 4th at 10:00 am.

Children at St. Mary of the Assumption School as well as those enrolled in the PSR program at St. Mary’s experience their First Reconciliation in the fall of second grade. In the spring, the second graders will take their First Eucharist. More information about the Sacraments of First Eucharist and First Reconciliation will be provided to the children and family throughout the year. Teachers, catechists and a team of parishioners help in the planning and implementation of these processes.

Children and adults that have not been baptized can receive their sacraments through the RCIA program.

If you have a child who is in second grade or has had at least one year of PSR, you can register them for their First Sacraments here.
