Confirmation is the second of the sacraments in which we pray the Holy Spirit will fill those that are confirmed with grace that deepens their life in Christ and strengthens them to live the Catholic faith.

St. Mary’s uses the Chosen Program from Ascension Press. Students meet in the Gathering Center two Sundays a month from October through February. In addition, Candidates will have outside meetings with their sponsors, take part in an Evening of Recollection, and receive the sacrament of Confirmation in late winter.

Confirmation 2025 Registration is now open!

Welcome to St. Mary's Confirmation 2025! To register, please complete the information below. A confirmation email will be sent after registration is submitted.

Registration Fee: $50

Payment: can be submitted online with credit card, or by check made payable to St. Mary of the Assumption. Checks can be dropped off at the parish office, either Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm, put through the slot by the Gathering Center doors or mailed to 8560 Mentor Ave, Mentor, OH 44060, in an envelope marked with: Family Name, Confirmation Attention: Kyle Lorek.

Registration Deadline: Monday, August 26th

This will allow us to make the necessary preparations for catechists for each session.

Confirmation classes are open to 9th grade students and other high school students who have not been confirmed.

Adults that have not been baptized will prepare and receive the sacraments through the RCIA program.
